The Department of Economics at the University of Jammu has released an advertisement for the position of Research Assistant under an ICSSR funded Major Research Project. The project is titled “Determinants and Constraints of Livelihood Diversification in the Union Territory of Ladakh: A Comparative Study of Leh and Kargil Districts”.
The appointment will be on a purely temporary and part-time basis. The position carries monthly emoluments of Rs 37,000 for a period of twelve months. Extension of tenure will depend on the performance of the research assistant during the project.
Applications must reach the undersigned within seven days from the date of the notification. The selected candidate will work under the guidance of the Project Director in the Department of Economics, University of Jammu. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates applying must hold a postgraduate degree in a social science discipline with at least 55 percent marks. Preference will be given to candidates who also hold NET, M.Phil, or Ph.D. qualifications.
