The Department of Remote Sensing and GIS at the University of Jammu has announced an opportunity for the post of Junior Project Fellow under an NHMS funded project. The position is available for Indian nationals who meet the qualifications and experience mentioned in the official notice.

The project focuses on the assessment of glacier–climate functional relationships across the Indian Himalayan region using long-term network observations. Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates applying must hold a postgraduate degree in basic sciences, environmental sciences, or a graduate degree in professional courses. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in Himalayan regions, good communication and writing skills, and knowledge of computers, remote sensing, and statistical software. Additional preference is given to candidates who have worked on glacier science at the postgraduate level or hold a master’s degree in RS and GIS, environmental sciences, geography, physics, geoinformatics, applied geology, or geology.
