University of Jammu has issued a notification for the engagement of Assistant Professors on contract, temporary or academic arrangement basis. The appointments are for the Skill Incubation Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (SIIEDC) for the academic session 2025-26. The engagement will be on a consolidated salary as per University norms.
The walk in interview will be held on 26 September 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Office Chambers of Dean Academic Affairs, First Floor, Old Administrative Block, University of Jammu. Eligibility Criteria:
For Assistant Professor positions, candidates must hold a Master’s Degree in the concerned or allied subject with at least 55 percent marks or equivalent grade from a recognized University. Relaxation of 5 percent is given to candidates belonging to SC, ST, and differently-abled categories. Candidates with PhD obtained prior to 19 September 1991 are also eligible with 50 percent marks. NET, SLET or SET is mandatory for appointment except for those candidates who have been awarded PhD as per UGC regulations of 2009 or 2016, and those meeting other prescribed conditions. Candidates with PhD from foreign universities ranked among top 500 globally are also eligible.
