Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited (UCSL) has issued the official notification for engagement of Supervisors on a contract basis. The opportunity is open for candidates with experience in mechanical, electrical, painting, and HSE disciplines, to be stationed at Malpe, Karnataka.
As per the UCSL Recruitment Notification 2025, the contract period will be five years, and the maximum age limit is 45 years as on 12 May 2025. The selection will be done through a written test and PowerPoint presentation.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications and Experience:
For Mechanical and Electrical Supervisors: Three-year Diploma in relevant engineering or ITI in related trades. Minimum 7 years’ experience for diploma holders and 15 years for ITI holders in shipbuilding or marine industries with recent supervisory experience.
For Painting Supervisor: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Diploma in Engineering or ITI in any trade with 7+ years (for graduates) or 15+ years (for ITI holders) in relevant industries.
For HSE Supervisor: Diploma in Engineering and one-year Diploma in Industrial Safety Engineering with 5 years of industry experience in safety management.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years as on 12 May 2025. OBC and SC/ST candidates are eligible for relaxation as per government norms.

Candidates are required to pay an application fee based on their category. General, OBC, and EWS category candidates need to pay ₹300. SC/ST and PwBD candidates are exempt from fee payment.
Selection Process:
Selection will be done on the basis of a written test followed by a PowerPoint presentation. The written test will be for 80 marks (objective and descriptive) and the presentation on prior experience will carry 20 marks.
