The Supreme Court of India has issued an official notification (Advertisement No. F.6/RC-2025) dated 25th July 2025 for various posts under its Registry. A total of 22 vacancies are available for positions including Assistant Editor, Assistant Director, Senior Court Assistant, and Assistant Librarian. The application process will be conducted online through the official website of the Supreme Court, and application dates will be announced shortly.
As per the notification, candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on 1st July 2025. The selection will be based on written exams, computer skill tests, and interviews depending on the post. The recruitment process will be carried out strictly as per Government of India rules, and exams will be conducted in four major cities across India.
Applicants are required to submit separate online applications for each post at www.sci.gov.in once the application link is active. The application/test fee must also be paid separately for each post through UCO Bank’s payment gateway. Detailed eligibility, age criteria, and selection process are given below for each post.

Eligibility Criteria:

For Assistant Editor, candidates must possess a Law degree or equivalent and at least 3 years of experience in the legal profession, judiciary, law reporting, or academic field. The age limit is between 30 to 40 years.
For Assistant Director, a first-class Master’s degree in Museology along with 5 years of research experience with published work is required. Age limit is 30 to 40 years.
For Senior Court Assistant, applicants need a Master’s degree in Museology with a minimum of 55% marks and 2 years of experience in museums or exhibitions. The age limit is up to 35 years.
For Assistant Librarian, a degree in Library Science, a diploma in computer applications, and 2 years of experience in a university or law library are required. Applicants should also be familiar with digital resources and library automation software. The age limit is up to 30 years.

Application Fee:
The application fee for the recruitment process is structured according to categories: General/OBC candidates must pay ₹1500 plus bank charges, while SC/ST/Ex-servicemen/Differently Abled/Dependent of Freedom Fighters are required to pay ₹750 plus bank charges.
Selection Process:
Selection will be done on the basis of written examinations, computer skill tests (where applicable), and personal interviews. Each post has a different pattern of evaluation. For instance, the Assistant Librarian selection will include tests on library management, computer skills, and a final interview.
