The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the notification for the recruitment of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and Grade ‘D’ positions. A total of 261 vacancies have been announced, and eligible candidates can now apply online through the official SSC portal.
As mentioned in the SSC notification, the age limit for the Grade ‘C’ posts is 18 to 30 years, and for Grade ‘D’, it is 18 to 27 years. The selection process will include a computer-based examination and skill test. Applicants must have passed 12th standard or its equivalent from a recognized board or university.
Interested candidates can apply online at ssc.gov.in between 06 June 2025 and 26 June 2025. A fee of Rs. 100 is applicable for general category candidates, while women, SC, ST, PwBD, and ESM candidates are exempted. Eligibility Criteria of SSC Stenographer Posts: Candidates interested in applying can check the eligibility criteria, age limit, application fee, and other essential details below.

For Stenographer Grade ‘C’, the minimum age is 18 years and the maximum is 30 years. Only candidates born between 02.08.1995 and 01.08.2007 are eligible.
For Stenographer Grade ‘D’, the age limit is 18 to 27 years, and eligible candidates must be born between 02.08.1998 and 01.08.2007.
