The Staff Selection Commission has released the official notification for Delhi Police Head Constable positions. Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens for both male and female candidates to fill various vacancies in Delhi Police. Candidates are required to apply online only through the official SSC website ssc.gov.in.
According to the official notification, the application window for the Delhi Police Head Constable 2025 begins on 29th September 2025 and will close on 20th October 2025. The exam is expected to be conducted between December 2025 and January 2026.
The recruitment drive includes posts for both male and female head constables. The minimum qualification required is 10+2 from a recognized board, along with specific typing speed requirements. Eligible candidates will be selected through a Computer Based Examination followed by Physical and Skill Tests.

The last date for online fee payment is 21-10-2025. Application correction can be made between 27-10-2025 and 29-10-2025 up to 11 PM. The examination will be held in December 2025 or January 2026.
Vacancy Details:
This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 509 vacancies. Post-wise details are as follows.
Head Constable (Male): 341 vacancies.
Head Constable (Female): 168 vacancies.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board. The age limit is between 18 to 25 years as on 01-07-2025, with relaxation as per government rules. Applicants should have a typing speed of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi. Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.

Application Fee:
Candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 100. However, women candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-servicemen categories are exempted from payment of the fee. The fee can be paid online using BHIM UPI, Net Banking, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, or RuPay Debit cards.
Selection Process:
The selection of candidates will be done on the basis of a Computer Based Test followed by a Physical Endurance and Measurement Test and a Typing Test. Further document verification will be done before final appointment.
