Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir has released an advertisement inviting applications for one position of Project Associate-I/Junior Research Fellow. The position is available under the DBT funded Wheat Network Project titled Germplasm Characterization and Trait Discovery in Wheat using Genomics Approaches and its Integration for Improving Climate Resilience, Productivity and Nutritional Quality.
As per the notification, the position is temporary and will be co-terminus with the completion of the project. The selected candidate will not have any claim for regular absorption in SKUAST Kashmir. The appointee will be paid a monthly salary of Rs. 37,000 plus HRA. However, non-NET candidates will receive Rs. 25,000 plus HRA per month.
Interested and eligible candidates are required to submit their applications on plain paper along with necessary documents including CV, marks sheets, degree certificates, awards, NET certificate, experience certificate and publications to the Principal Investigator by or before 26 August 2025. The interview of shortlisted candidates will be held on 29 August 2025 in the office chamber of Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, Wadura.

Eligibility Criteria:
For the position of Project Associate-I/JRF, candidates must hold an M.Sc. degree in Agriculture with specialization in Genetics and Plant Breeding. Desirable qualifications include experience in trait phenotyping under field and controlled conditions. The candidate should also be willing to travel and assist in project-related activities, fieldwork, molecular breeding laboratory experiments, report preparation and documentation.
