Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) has invited applications from eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India sponsored research project. The engagement will be purely contractual and co-terminus with the project.
The advertised project is titled “Deep Learning Applications for Automated Post-Harvest Saffron Processing, Grading and Sorting.” The selected candidate will work in the Division of Farm Machinery and Power Engineering, College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, SKUAST-Kashmir.
The position is initially for a period of one year and may be extended annually based on performance review. The candidate should not be more than 35 years old. The salary for this position will be as per DST norms.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or MCA from a recognized university.
Desirable: Applicants with experience in handling sensors, controllers, motors, circuit design, and working with boards like Raspberry Pi, Arduino, and Jetson are preferred. Proficiency in Python, C, C++, MATLAB, and background in Machine Learning and IoT are desirable.
Preferable: GATE or NET qualification will be given preference.
Age Limit: Applicants should not be more than 35 years of age. Other conditions will follow DST norms and SKUAST-K statutes.
