Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir, College of Temperate Sericulture, Mirgund, has invited applications for the temporary posts of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Project Assistant. These positions are part of a project funded by the Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine, Ministry of Ayush, Government of India.
The project is titled “Exploring the anti-cancer potential of a Unani Drug toot-e-siyah (Morus nigra) on mice models” and will run for one year. The recruitment is on a purely contractual basis and co-terminus with the duration of the project.
Interested candidates fulfilling the required eligibility criteria must submit their applications along with attested copies of relevant documents by 10th June 2025 (5:00 PM). The positions offer consolidated monthly emoluments and will not provide TA/DA for attending the interview.

Eligibility Criteria of JRF and Project Assistant Posts
Educational Qualifications:
For JRF: M.Sc. in Sericulture, Clinical Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or Biotechnology with specialization in cancer studies. At least two publications in the relevant field are required.
For Project Assistant: B.Sc. in Sericulture (Hons.) is essential. M.Sc. Sericulture is desirable.
Age Limit:
The upper age limit for JRF is below 40 years.
The upper age limit for Project Assistant is below 35 years.
All age limits are considered as on the date of submission of the application.
Other Requirements:
All positions are on contractual basis and co-terminus with the project duration.
