The Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) has officially released a recruitment notification for the post of Young Professional under the DBT-funded Adhoc Project titled “Technological Interventions and Capacity Building to Promote Entrepreneurship and Enhance Income in Agricultural Sector in Outer Himalayas of Jammu Region of Jammu & Kashmir (UT).”

This opportunity is open for eligible candidates with a background in Soil Science, Agronomy, Entomology, or Post-Harvest Management. The appointment will be purely on a temporary and contractual basis for the duration of the project. The qualifications and age limit details are below:

Educational Qualifications

Candidates must have a Master’s degree (M.Sc. Agri.) in the following disciplines:

• Soil Science
• Agronomy
• Entomology
• Post-Harvest Management

Desired Qualifications & Experience

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

• Research experience in crop husbandry.
• Experience in Apiary Research.
• Knowledge of fruit crop management in intermediate and temperate regions.
• Research experience in value-added products.
• Computer proficiency for research data analysis.

Age Limit

The Maximum Age limit is 35 years. Age Relaxation will be As per SKUAST-Jammu recruitment norms.

Pay Scale / Salary

• The selected candidate will receive a fixed monthly salary of ₹40,000 (inclusive of taxes).

2. The engagement will be co-terminus with the project, and the selected candidate will not have any claim for a permanent position at SKUAST-J.
3. Performance-based extension may be granted if the project continues.
