Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Srinagar has issued a notification inviting eligible candidates for walk-in interviews for the post of Senior Resident in different specialties. The walk-in interview will be conducted on 16 June 2025 at the Board Room, SKIMS, Soura.
The opportunity is for candidates with recognized qualifications in specific medical fields, who are interested in working on a temporary basis at SKIMS Deemed University. The selected candidates will be posted in respective departments as per institutional requirement.
Interested applicants must report for registration at the Academic Section, SKIMS University Block by 10:00 AM sharp on the day of the interview. Registration will be closed at 10:30 AM. Applicants must carry all original documents along with a set of photocopies for verification.

1) Senior Resident – Surgery & Allied Specialties (Surgical Oncology)
2) Senior Resident – Medicine & Allied Specialties
Eligibility Criteria of Senior Resident Posts:
Candidates must hold relevant medical qualifications as defined by the National Medical Commission. The details for each department are:
1) Educational Qualifications:
For Surgery & Allied Specialties (Surgical Oncology): M.Ch. / DNB / Dr. NB (Surgical Oncology) or equivalent.
For Medicine & Allied Specialties: M.D / DNB in General Medicine.
2) Other Requirements:
Candidates selected for Medicine & Allied Specialties may be posted in the Emergency Medicine Department or other allied departments as per requirement.
3) Documents Required at the Time of Registration:
M.Ch. / DNB / DrNB / MD Degree from a recognized college/university.
Permanent State Medical Registration Certificate.
Domicile Certificate of J&K.
Date of Birth Certificate.
All relevant Marks Certificates.
NOC from employer (only for PSC confirmed candidates).
How to Apply:
Interested and eligible candidates must appear in person for the walk-in interview on 16 June 2025. Registration will be conducted at the Academic Section, SKIMS University Block, from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM only.
Selection Process:
Selection will be made based on the walk-in interview and document verification held on the scheduled date. No candidate will be registered or interviewed after the closing time of 10:30 AM.
