SKIMS Recruitment Notification 2025 for Various Medical and Administrative Positions

Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Soura has announced a detailed notice inviting online applications for several gazetted posts. These posts are open to domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir who meet the prescribed academic and professional qualifications. A total of 29 vacancies are mentioned across different medical and administrative roles.

As per the notification issued by the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC), candidates must meet the required educational standards, experience levels and age conditions as specified. The upper age limit varies based on category, and for most posts the maximum age ranges between forty and forty three years. Vacancy Details:
This notification aims to fill 29 posts in different departments under SKIMS. The post Assistant Nursing Superintendent carries eight vacancies. The post Senior Research Officer carries one vacancy. The post Junior Research Officer carries three vacancies. The post Assistant Material Management Officer carries three vacancies. The post Resident Medical Officer carries nine vacancies. The post Casualty Medical Officer carries five vacancies.

Eligibility Criteria:
Below is a summary of the eligibility conditions. For Assistant Nursing Superintendent, the qualification required is M Sc Nursing with two years of experience in the profession excluding training. For Junior Research Officer, the qualification required is M Sc Physics in Radiation Technology or Medical Physics or Radiological Physics or Bio Physics. For Resident Medical Officer, the qualification required is MBBS along with Rotatory Internship and State or Central Registration with two years of work in a teaching hospital. For Senior Research Officer, the qualification required is M Sc Medical Physics or M Sc Physics with a diploma in Radiological Physics. For Assistant Material Management Officer, the applicant must hold a degree in MBAs or a graduate qualification with diploma in material management or inventory control with five years of supervisory experience in relevant work. For Casualty Medical Officer, the qualification required is MBBS with Rotatory Internship and State or Central Registration with three years of service as Resident or Medical Officer in emergency medicine or surgery.

The age limits as on first January two thousand twenty five are explained in the notification. For the open merit category the maximum age is forty years. For reserved categories the maximum age is forty three years. For physically challenged candidates the maximum age is forty two years. The birth date ranges corresponding to each age limit are mentioned in the notification.

How to Apply:
Applicants can apply online through the official website of JKPSC. After completing the one time registration, candidates must fill in all required fields of the online application form and upload the necessary documents. Once all details are submitted, candidates can preview the application and then submit it. Applications must be complete in all respects before final submission.

The application fee must be paid through online mode only. General category applicants need to pay Rs. 1,200/-. Reserved category applicants need to pay Rs.700/-. Physically challenged candidates are exempted from paying a fee.

Selection Process:
The selection of candidates will be based on the rules of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission. Shortlisting will depend on eligibility conditions, document verification and other processes as notified. The Commission will also verify the validity of certificates including reservation documents before final selection.
