Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) has released an official notification inviting applications from eligible candidates for 114 Executive Trainee posts in various engineering and non-engineering disciplines. Interested candidates can apply online from 28 April 2025 through the official website of SJVN.
As per the notification, the age limit for general candidates is 30 years and the selected candidates will undergo one year of training. On successful completion, they will be regularized as Engineer/Officer. The selection will be done based on a Computer Based Test, followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
Candidates from reserved categories are eligible for applicable age relaxation. Applicants must ensure they meet the educational and other eligibility requirements before applying online by the deadline of 18 May 2025. The registration process for online applications through SJVN’s official website will commence from 28 April 2025.

Eligibility Criteria of Executive Trainee Posts: Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
1) Civil: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
2) Electrical: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering
3) Mechanical: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
4) Human Resource: Graduate + 2 years MBA/PG Diploma in Personnel/HR
5) Environment: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or PG degree in Environmental Engineering/Science
6) Geology: M.Sc./M.Tech. in Geology, Applied Geology, or Geophysics
7) IT: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in CS/IT/Computer Engineering
8) Finance: CA/ICWA-CMA/2-year MBA in Finance
9) Law: 3-year or 5-year Degree in Law
Minimum percentage of marks: 55% for UR/OBC/EWS and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD (except CA/ICWA-CMA where pass is sufficient). Final-year students can also apply, but final results must be submitted by 31 July 2025.
How to Apply for SJVN Executive Trainee 2025:
Applicants must apply online only through the SJVN website. They need to register with a valid email ID and mobile number, upload required documents including photograph and signature, pay the applicable fee, and submit the application form.
Application Fee:
Applicants are required to pay an application fee of ₹600 + 18% GST. However, SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen are exempted from fee.
Selection Process: Eligible candidates will have to appear for a Computer Based Test followed by Group Discussion and Interview. The minimum qualifying marks in CBT are 50% for UR/EWS and 40% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates (if vacancy reserved). All selected candidates will be required to sign a service agreement bond to serve the company for a minimum period of three years after training.
