Eligibility Criteria for RITES Engineering Professionals Recruitment 2025

The eligibility conditions are given as follows:

Educational Qualifications

• Resident Engineer: Diploma in Mechanical/Civil Branch of Engineering.
• Resident Engineer: Degree in the field of Metallurgical /Chemical/ Mechanical Engineering OR M.Sc Degree in Chemistry/ Applied Chemistry
• Technical Assistant: Diploma in Metallurgical/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute.
• Resident Engineer: B.E./B.Tech in Metallurgical/Mechanical Engineering.

Experience Requirements

• Resident Engineer: Minimum 2 or 3 years of experience in the related field.
• Technical Assistant: Minimum 2 years of experience in inspection & supervision.

Age Limit

• Maximum 40 years (as of 11th March 2025).
• Age relaxation applicable as per government rules.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of:

1. Written Test (For Technical Assistant & Resident Engineer):
   • 125 objective-type questions (No negative marking).
   • Duration: 2.5 hours.
   • Qualifying Marks: 50% for UR/EWS & 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD.
2. Interview (For Resident Engineer – Bihar Region):
   • 100% Weightage (Technical Proficiency – 65%, Communication & Competency – 35%)
   • Qualifying Marks: 60% for UR/EWS & 50% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD.
3. Document Verification & Medical Examination
   • Candidates who clear the written test/interview will undergo document verification.
   • A medical fitness test will be conducted before final appointment.
