Vacancy Details:
Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has invited applications for the post of Officer Trainee (Law). There are a total of seven vacancies distributed as follows: four posts for Unreserved category, one post for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), one post for SC, and one post for ST category.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates applying for this position must possess either a full-time three-year LLB degree or a five-year integrated Law/LLB course from a recognized university. Applicants belonging to UR, EWS, and OBC (NCL) categories must have secured at least 60 percent marks or equivalent CGPA, while SC, ST, and PwBD candidates require a minimum of 45 percent marks. The upper age limit is 28 years as on December 5, 2025, with relaxation of up to 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, and 10 to 15 years for PwBD candidates depending on the category.

The selection process for POWERGRID Officer Trainee (Law) 2025 will include evaluation based on CLAT 2026 performance, followed by a group discussion and personal interview. The CLAT 2026 score will have 85 percent weightage, the group discussion 3 percent, and the personal interview 12 percent. Candidates must achieve at least 40 percent marks in CLAT 2026 for UR and 30 percent for reserved categories to qualify for shortlisting.
During the training period, selected candidates will receive a basic pay of ₹40,000 along with allowances such as IDA and HRA, making the total annual package approximately ₹11.0 lakh. After successful completion of training, candidates will be placed in the E-2 scale with a pay range of ₹50,000 to ₹1,60,000 and an approximate annual CTC of ₹22.5 lakh.
