PM Internship Scheme 2025 Registration Date Extended: Apply Online by April 15 at pminternship.mca.gov.in

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has extended the application deadline for the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) 2025. Initially scheduled to end on March 31, 2025, the last date to apply is now April 15, 2025. This extension comes under Round 2 of the pilot phase and aims to provide more time for eligible candidates to register.

The PM Internship Scheme was first introduced during the Union Budget 2024. It focuses on providing 1 crore internship opportunities over the next five years to empower India’s youth with hands-on experience in top companies across the country.

Applicants selected for the scheme will receive a monthly stipend of ₹4,500 from the Government of India and an additional ₹500 from companies under their CSR initiative. Additionally, a one-time grant of ₹6,000 will be given along with insurance coverage under PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and PM Suraksha Bima Yojana.

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must be between the ages of 21 and 24 years as of the date of application. They must have passed at least Class 10. Candidates who are currently employed in full-time roles, belong to families with government employees, or have graduated from premier institutions like IITs, IIMs, or hold CA qualifications, are not eligible to apply. The family income should not exceed ₹8 lakh per year.

Applicants will receive ₹4,500 per month from the Government of India and an additional ₹500 from host companies. A one-time incidental grant of ₹6,000 will also be provided. Interns will also be covered under two government insurance schemes: PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and PM Suraksha Bima Yojana.

How to Apply:
Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria are required to visit the official portal at pminternship.mca.gov.in and complete the registration process. There is no application fee required to apply for the PM Internship Scheme 2025.

The selection of candidates will be based on their registration details and profile. After submission, a resume will be generated from the portal, which will be used by companies to shortlist suitable applicants. Each candidate can apply for up to five different opportunities.
