Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has released the official notification inviting applications for 1543 vacancies of Field Engineer and Field Supervisor posts. These positions are being offered on fixed-term contract basis across different regions and projects of POWERGRID as well as its subsidiaries. The engagement will be for 24 months initially and can be extended up to five years depending on project requirements.
As per the official advertisement, the upper age limit for applicants is 29 years as on 17 September 2025. Relaxations in the upper age limit will be applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per Government of India guidelines. The monthly salary for Field Engineers will be between ₹30,000 to ₹1,20,000, while Field Supervisors will receive between ₹23,000 to ₹1,05,000 along with DA, HRA and perks.

The online application window is open from 27 August 2025 and will close on 17 September 2025 up to 11:59 PM. Candidates are advised to complete the application process well before the deadline to avoid last minute issues.

Vacancy Details:
This recruitment drive aims to fill 1543 posts in various regions. The distribution is as follows.
Field Engineer Electrical – 532 posts,
Field Engineer Civil – 198 posts,
Field Supervisor Electrical – 535 posts,
Field Supervisor Civil – 193 posts,
Field Supervisor Electronics and Communication – 85 posts.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates applying for Field Engineer posts must have a full time B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg) in the relevant discipline with minimum 55% marks along with one year post qualification experience. For Field Supervisor posts, candidates should have a full time Diploma in the relevant branch with minimum 55% marks and one year post qualification experience. Higher qualifications like B.E/B.Tech are not allowed for Field Supervisor roles.

Applicants need to visit powergrid.in and go to the Careers section under Job Opportunities. They should complete the online registration, fill in the application form, upload necessary documents and pay the applicable fee before the last date.
Application Fee:
The fee is ₹400 for Field Engineer posts and ₹300 for Field Supervisor posts. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen categories are exempted from payment of fees. The application fee once paid is non-refundable.
Selection Process:
The selection will be done through the POWERGRID Common FTE Written Test 2025. Shortlisted candidates will then undergo document verification and medical examination before final engagement.
