Oil India Limited Walk-in for 24 Geologist Posts on Contract Basis – Interview on 30 June

Oil India Limited (OIL), a Maharatna PSU under the Government of India, has announced a walk-in interview to engage 24 Geologists on a purely contractual basis. These positions are based at the Field Headquarters in Duliajan, Assam. The roles involve shift-based duties, including field operations at remote and hazardous OIL installations.

Eligible Indian nationals meeting the required qualifications and experience are invited to appear for a walk-in interview on 30 June 2025. The engagement is temporary in nature and intended for an initial period of six months, extendable up to one year based on performance and company requirements.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must have a Postgraduate degree in Geology or Applied Geology of minimum 2 years duration from a government-recognized university or institute. In addition, candidates should have a minimum of one year of relevant experience in the Exploration and Production sector, particularly in drilling operations in the Northeast region. The minimum age limit is 24 years, and the maximum is 40 years as of the date of registration.

Registration timing: 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM on 30 June 2025.

Selection Process:
The selection of candidates will be based on a walk-in interview of 100 marks. The interview will evaluate professional knowledge in the concerned and allied disciplines, as well as personal attributes and soft skills. A minimum qualifying score of 50 is required. Final selection will be purely based on merit.

Selected candidates will receive a monthly consolidated pay of ₹70,000. In addition, an incidental allowance of ₹500 per day is payable for the number of days worked outside the posting location.

Candidates must carry original documents along with self-attested photocopies of educational qualifications, experience, valid identity proof, caste certificate (if applicable), and other supporting documents. The filled personal bio-data form, photograph, and NOC from employer (if applicable) must also be brought at the time of registration.
