Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has released the official advertisement for the engagement of teachers and female staff nurse on contract basis for the academic session 2025–26. This recruitment is specifically for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) located in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir (UT), Ladakh (UT), and Chandigarh (UT).
As per the notification, the positions include Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs), and Female Staff Nurse. The nature of the recruitment is purely contractual. Since JNVs are fully residential schools, it is mandatory for all selected personnel to reside on campus and take part in residential school duties.
