NTPC Announces 30 Vacancies Across India, Check Vacancy Details and Apply Now

NTPC Limited, India’s largest power utility, has invited online applications for the position of Assistant Chemist Trainee (ACT) through Advt. No. 09/25. This opportunity is part of NTPC’s expansion drive to achieve 130 GW capacity by 2032 and targets young chemistry professionals.

As per the official notification, a total of 30 vacancies are available under various categories. The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary under the E0 Grade pay scale, with a basic pay of ₹30,000 and total compensation reaching up to ₹1,20,000. The maximum age for applicants is 27 years as on the last date of application, with applicable relaxations for reserved categories.

Eligible candidates must apply online only through the NTPC careers portal. The online application process begins on 17 May 2025 and closes on 31 May 2025. Applications submitted after the deadline or incomplete in any form will not be accepted.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have a full-time M.Sc. in Chemistry from a recognized university with at least 60% marks in aggregate. SC, ST, and PwBD candidates with passing marks are also eligible. Final-year/semester students who expect their result by 31.07.2025 may apply.

Age Limit: Maximum 27 years as on the last date of application. Relaxation in upper age limit: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for PwBD categories as per Government norms.

Application Fee:
The application fee is ₹300 for candidates from General, EWS, and OBC categories. SC, ST, PwBD, and female candidates are exempted from the fee. The payment can be made via online mode (Net banking, Debit/Credit card) or offline through SBI.

Selection Process:
The selection process for Assistant Chemist Trainee posts will consist of an all-India online test followed by document verification. The online test will include a Subject Knowledge test and an Executive Aptitude test. Both parts must be qualified separately.
