The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has released its official notification for the Student Internship Scheme (SIS) 2025-26. This scheme provides students across India an opportunity to gain experience in rural development studies by working with NABARD’s Regional Offices, Training Establishments, and Head Office. The online application process began on 25th March 2025 and will remain open until 7th April 2025.
Under NABARD SIS 2025-26, a total of 39 student internship positions are available. These include 34 seats at various Regional Offices or Training Establishments (RO/TE) and 5 seats at the Head Office (HO) in Mumbai. Selected interns will receive a monthly stipend and additional allowances to cover travel and fieldwork expenses.
As mentioned in the official notification, students selected for this internship will be paid a stipend of ₹18,000 per month, along with benefits such as daily field allowances and travel support. The selection process will include shortlisting based on academic merit followed by interviews tentatively scheduled for 17th April 2025.
Interested and eligible students pursuing postgraduate studies in relevant fields can submit their applications online before 7th April 2025. All necessary documents, including educational certificates and proof of residency (where applicable), must be uploaded during the application process. Applicants are advised to keep a copy of their submitted form for future reference.

Stipend:

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates applying for the NABARD SIS 2025-26 must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
Educational Qualification: Postgraduate students who have completed their first year in disciplines like Agriculture, Allied fields, Economics, or students pursuing 5-year integrated courses (completed 4th year).
Other Criteria:
For RO/TE positions: Candidates must be studying in or be a resident of the respective state.
For HO positions: Open to eligible students from across India.
Selection Process:
The selection process for NABARD SIS 2025-26 consists of two main stages:
First, candidates will be shortlisted based on a weighted score derived from their academic marks in Class 10, Class 12, and graduation.
Final selection will be made based on performance in the interview round scheduled tentatively on 17 April 2025.
