The University of Kashmir has officially released Admission Notification No. 08 of 2025, inviting online applications for PG and UG programmes through the Kashmir University Entrance Test (KUET). Interested candidates who fulfill the eligibility conditions can apply for various Master’s, Bachelor’s, and professional courses.
As per the notification, eligible candidates who have completed their graduation (or are appearing in final exams) can apply for admission to disciplines like MTTM, M.Ed., M.P.Ed., MCA, MBA (Non-CMAT), LLB, and several other academic streams. The admissions will be based on performance in the entrance test scheduled by the university.
The application process for the academic session 2025 is open from 5th June 2025 and will continue till 4th July 2025. Candidates must read the full eligibility conditions, including subject-specific credit requirements, and submit their applications before the deadline through the official website of Kashmir University.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates applying for PG or UG programmes must meet the following:
– Must have passed the qualifying examination (Bachelor’s) under Annual, Semester, CBCS, or NEP-2020 scheme.
– Candidates must have earned at least 12 credits in the Core or Generic Elective subjects at UG level for discipline-specific admissions.
– For open eligibility programmes (e.g., LL.B, MTTM, MA Sociology, MA Social Work), candidates from any academic discipline can apply.
– Candidates who are awaiting their final results may also apply provisionally, provided they meet eligibility requirements by 29th July 2025.
How to Apply:
Applicants must visit www.kashmiruniversity.net or www.kashmiruniversity.ac.in and complete the online registration under the “Admissions” tab. All fields must be filled carefully, including uploading of photograph and documents. Applicants should retain printouts of the form and fee receipt for reference.
Application Fee:
The total fee for applying to one programme is ₹900 (includes ₹400 application + ₹500 entrance fee). For each additional programme, an extra ₹250 is payable. Fee must be paid online only.
Selection Process:
Candidates will be selected based on performance in the Kashmir University Entrance Test (KUET). The final selection will be subject to eligibility verification at the department level before admission confirmation. Entrance test syllabus and previous year papers are available on the official admission portal.
