Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released the notification for the recruitment of various posts under the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat, Jammu and Kashmir. A total of 16 vacancies have been announced for different UT and Divisional Cadre posts as per Advertisement Notification No. 04 of 2025 dated 28.04.2025. As per the official notification, the recruitment drive includes posts such as Gardener, Farash, Traffic Orderly, Multi Tasking Staff (MTS), Masalchi, Khansama-III, Dhobi, Driver-II, and Website Operator.
The age limit for these posts ranges from 40 to 43 years depending on the category, and selection will be based on a written examination followed by skill tests for certain posts.
Interested and eligible candidates are invited to apply online through the official website of JKSSB from 08 May 2025. The last date to submit the online application form is 06 June 2025. Educational Qualifications
Gardener: Middle Pass with 7 years of experience in floriculture certified by Floriculture Department.
Farash: Matric pass with 2 years experience from catering institute/hotel.
Traffic Orderly: Minimum Matric and maximum 10+2.
Multi Tasking Staff (MTS): Minimum Matric and maximum 10+2.
Masalchi: Matric pass with 2 years experience from catering institute/hotel.
Khansama-III: Matric pass with 2 years experience from catering institute/hotel.
Dhobi: Matric pass and Dhobi profession certificate from Tehsildar.
Driver-II: Minimum Matric and maximum 10+2 with valid HGV/PSV driving license.
Website Operator: Graduation with 35 wpm typing speed and six-month certificate in computer application from recognized institute.
Age Limi:
The age limit as on 01.01.2025 for different categories are given as follow:
OM: 40 years
SC/ST/RBA/ALC/IB/EWS/OBC: 43 years
Physically Challenged Persons: 42 years
Government Service/Contractual Employment: 40 years
Ex-Servicemen: 48 years
How to Apply:
Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply through the JKSSB official portal from 08.05.2025 to 06.06.2025. No other mode of application will be accepted.
Application Fee:
Candidates are required to pay an application fee based on their category. The application fee for General Category is Rs. 600/- and for SC/ST/EWS/PwBD category candidates is Rs. 500/-.
Payment Mode: Online only (Net Banking, Credit or Debit cards)
Selection Process:
The selection of candidates will be on the basis of the written examination (OMR based) and skill test where applicable. There will be negative marking of one-fourth marks for each wrong answer in the written test.
For the post of Driver-II, candidates must first qualify the driving test to be eligible for appearing in the written examination.
For the post of Website Operator, the selection will be based on performance in a skill test (20 points) and written examination (80 points).
