The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has extended the last date for the subm,ission of online application forms for the recruitment of 292 Junior Engineers (Electrical) under UT and Divisional Cadres from various Corporations of the Power Development Department to April 14, 2025. The posts will be filled through direct recruitment.
As per the official advertisement, the candidates must possess either a Bachelor’s Degree or AMIE (Sec. A&B) India or a three-year Diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering. The selection will be based purely on the merit obtained in the written/OMR examination. Domicile of J&K is mandatory to be eligible for applying.

Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or AMIE (Sec. A&B) India or three-year diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025):
Open Merit – Not born before 01.01.1985 and after 01.01.2007 (Max age: 40 years)
Other categories such as RBA, SC, ST, ALC/IB, EWS, OBC, Govt employees, Ex-servicemen, and PwBDs have upper age limits ranging from 40 to 48 years as per norms.
Domicile Requirement:
Candidates must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and possess a valid Domicile Certificate.

Application Fee: The application fee for the recruitment process is ₹600 for General category candidates. For SC/ST/EWS/PwBD categories, the fee is ₹500. Payment must be made online.
Selection Process:
The selection of candidates will be made on the basis of merit obtained in the written/OMR examination only. The exam will consist of multiple choice objective-type questions. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
