Eligibility Criteria
Domicile
Candidates must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and must possess a valid domicile certificate on or before the cut-off date.

Educational Qualification
Constable (Telecommunication):
- 10+2 with Science from a recognized board.
Constable (Photographer):
- 10+2 with Science
- Six months Computer Course from a recognized institute
- Two years experience in Photography/Videography using digital cameras.

Selection Process
The selection process consists of the following stages:
- Written Examination (Objective Type)
- Physical Standard Test (PST) – Qualifying
- Physical Endurance Test (PET) – Qualifying

NCC Certificate holders will be awarded bonus marks as per rules.
Physical Standards
For Male Candidates
- Height: 5’6”
- Chest: 32” (unexpanded), 33½” (expanded)
For Female Candidates
- Height: 5’2”
Height relaxation of 2 inches is applicable for Gorkha Community and Bot Tribe candidates.
Physical Endurance Test
Male
- 1600 meters race in 6½ minutes
- 20 push-ups
Female
- 1000 meters race in 6½ minutes
- Shot put (4 kg): 14½ feet (three attempts)
Relaxed standards apply for Ex-Servicemen as per age slabs.
