The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board has released Advertisement Notification No. 15 of 2025 for recruitment to Constable (Telecommunication) and Constable (Photographer) posts in the J&K Police, Home Department. A total of 182 posts are notified under the UT cadre.

Candidates must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and should possess a valid domicile certificate on or before the last date of application.
Physical Standard Test (PST)
For Male Candidates
Height: 5’-6”
Chest: 32” (unexpanded) and 33½” (expanded)
For Female Candidates
Height: 5’-2”
For candidates belonging to the Gorkha Community or Bot Tribe, the minimum height is relaxable by 2 inches.
Physical Endurance Test (PET)
For Male Candidates
Long Race: 1600 metres in 6½ minutes
Push-ups: 20 (one cycle of up and down counts as one)
For Female Candidates
Long Race: 1000 metres in 6½ minutes
Shot Put (4 kg): 14½ feet in three attempts
Relaxation in PET standards is available for Ex-servicemen as notified.
Application Fee
The application fee is Rs. 700. For candidates belonging to SC, ST-1, ST-2 and EWS categories, the fee is Rs. 600. The fee can be paid only through online mode.
Selection Process
The selection will be carried out in the following stages:

Medical Examination
Candidates having NCC Certificates will be awarded bonus marks as per notified percentage.
