Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board has released Advertisement Notification No. 12 of 2025 for Constable (Executive Police) posts in the Home Department. A total of 1815 vacancies are notified for Divisional Cadres of Jammu and Kashmir.
Eligible domiciles of Jammu and Kashmir can apply online. The application process starts on 19 January 2026 and closes on 17 February 2026. Selection will include Written Test, Physical Standard Test and Physical Endurance Test.

Eligibility Criteria of JKSSB Constable Vacancies
Domicile
Candidate must be a domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. A valid domicile certificate must be issued on or before 17.02.2026.
Educational Qualification
Matriculation is required as the minimum educational qualification.

Application Fee
Rs. 700 for General category.
Rs. 600 for SC, ST-1, ST-2 and EWS category.

Selection Process
- Written Examination (objective type with negative marking). NCC certificate holders get bonus marks as per rules.
- Physical Standard Test (qualifying only).
- Physical Endurance Test (qualifying only).
- Medical Examination of provisionally selected candidates.
Candidates six times the number of vacancies will be called for PST based on merit of written exam.
