J&K Pollution Control Committee Empanelment Open for Chartered Engineers and Institutes

Chartered Engineers and Institutes can apply for empanelment with JKPCC for third-party environmental certification; open process with quarterly evaluations.

The Jammu and Kashmir Pollution Control Committee (JKPCC) has invited applications for the empanelment of Chartered Engineers and Chartered Institutes for Third Party Certification. This empanelment is intended to support the verification and certification of environmental data and applications for various industrial and development activities under environmental laws.

The empanelled engineers or institutes will assist industries in obtaining Consent to Establish, Consent to Operate, and renewals under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, and Environment (Protection) Act, 1986.

The empanelment is valid for two years and may be extended based on performance. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications on working days at designated JKPCC offices in Jammu or Srinagar. The empanelment process will remain open continuously, and applications received in each quarter will be assessed in the following quarter.

Important Dates: The empanelment process is open-ended, with quarterly assessments of applications.

Vacancy Details: JKPCC seeks to empanel eligible Chartered Engineers and Chartered Institutes to provide third-party certification services for environmental compliance and data verification across Jammu and Kashmir.

Eligibility Criteria:

For Chartered Engineer:
Degree in Environmental Engineering, or Civil Engineering with Environmental specialization, or Degree in Chemical Engineering/Technology, or Master’s/Doctorate in Natural Sciences, Environmental Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Biotechnology.
Experience: Minimum 10 years (5 years for those with PG Engineering/Doctorate)

For Chartered Institute:
Team must consist of at least 4 members with qualifications as above
Experience: Each member must have 10 years’ experience (5 years for PG Engineering/Doctorate holders).
Institute should have at least 5 years institutional experience in pollution control, R&D, or environmental teaching

All qualifications must be obtained in regular mode from recognized institutions.

Selection Process:
The empanelment committee will review all complete applications received each quarter in the second week of the following quarter. The committee reserves the right to reject applications without assigning any reason.
