Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Aishmuqam District Anantnag under Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has released a notification for the engagement of Counselors on a contractual basis for the academic session 2025–26. Eligible male and female candidates are invited to attend the walk-in interview for empanelment at JNVs located in Anantnag, Budgam, Baramulla, Kulgam, Kupwara, Pulwama, Shopian, Ganderbal, and Bandipora districts.
The engagement will be purely on contract and selected candidates will have to fulfill all eligibility requirements. Applicants must report to the venue with original certificates and self-attested copies of required documents on the date of the interview.

The walk-in interview for Counselor positions in JNV Anantnag will be conducted on 30th August 2025 at 10:00 AM at PM Shri School JNV Aishmuqam, District Anantnag.
Eligibility Criteria:
The notification mentions that candidates must possess either a Master’s Degree (MA/M.Sc) in Psychology from a recognized university or institution along with a one-year Diploma in Guidance & Counseling, or relevant equivalent qualification.
Applicants should also have experience in counseling school students. Preference will be given to those with at least one year of experience in residential schools.
Candidates applying for the Counselor post must not be above 28 years of age as on 1st May 2025. Relaxations are available for SC, ST, PH, and female candidates as per government norms.
The remuneration for selected Counselors will be Rs. 44,900 per month in normal districts and Rs. 45,000 per month in hard districts. SC, ST, and PH candidates will be entitled to travel allowances for attending the interview, subject to rules.
