The Department of Chemistry at the University of Jammu has invited applications from eligible candidates for the position of Project Assistant under projects sanctioned by JK Science Technology and Innovation Council. There is one vacancy available for each project as mentioned in the notification.
As per the notification, candidates must have a Master’s degree in Chemistry with at least six point five CGPA or sixty percent marks. The selected candidate will receive fifteen thousand rupees per month. The position is for a period of one year or twenty four months depending on the respective project, and may be extended based on performance and project norms. The selection will take place through an interview and no travel allowance or daily allowance will be provided.

The projects include “Development of Luminescent Lanthanide-Coordination Polymers/Metal-OrganicccFrameworks as Chemical Sensors” and “Development of metal organic frameworks and removal of pollutants from waste water with applications in organic synthesis”.
Eligibility criteria:
Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in Chemistry with a minimum of six point five CGPA or sixty percent marks from a recognised institute or university in a full time programme. Candidates have to submit self attested photocopies of their certificates. Original documents must be produced at the time of interview. Meeting the minimum qualification does not guarantee selection.

Selection process:
The selection will be conducted through an interview. Candidates will be informed of the date, time and venue through telephone or email.
