IUST Kashmir Teaching Recruitment 2026, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor Posts in Multiple Departments

Islamic University of Science & Technology Kashmir has announced teaching vacancies across various departments for Assistant and Associate Professors. Online forms open till 23 January 2026.

Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST), Kashmir has released Detailed Advertisement Notice No. 01 of 2026 dated 01-01-2026. The University has invited online applications from eligible candidates for Assistant Professor and Associate Professor posts in various Departments and Centres.

Appointments shall be governed by UGC Regulations 2018 (as amended), University Statutes, Executive Council norms and other applicable rules. Candidates must review the eligibility, qualifications, experience, important dates and application process carefully before applying.

Eligibility Criteria of IUST Kashmir Teaching Recruitment


PostEssential Qualification & Requirements
Associate Professor (various disciplines)Masterโ€™s Degree with at least 55% marks (relaxation as per rules), Ph.D in the relevant discipline, minimum 8 years of teaching / research experience equivalent to Assistant Professor, required publications and research score as per UGC Regulations 2018.
Assistant Professor (general disciplines)Masterโ€™s Degree with at least 55% marks in the relevant subject (relaxation as per rules) with NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D as per UGC Regulations 2018.
Assistant / Associate Professor (Architecture, Planning, Geomatics, Vocational, Environment, AI, AYUSH, Renewable Energy, Skill Training etc.)Specific discipline-wise qualifications and experience are prescribed in the notification including B.Arch / M.Arch / Planning qualifications, Ph.D where required, professional experience wherever applicable, and compliance with UGC / Statutory body norms.

All candidates must meet the academic, research and experience conditions strictly as per UGC Regulations 2018 (as amended). NET/SLET/SET exemption applies as notified. Only COA registered candidates are eligible for Architecture posts.

Selection / Shortlisting Process


Shortlisting for Assistant Professor posts shall be done as per UGC Regulations 2018 (Appendix II Table 3A).
As per rules, 20 candidates will be shortlisted for one post and 5 candidates for every additional post. Final selection will follow UGC and University norms.

Candidates must apply online through the University website.
After submitting the online form, candidates must submit the hard copy with self-attested documents to the Office of the Registrar by the due date.
Applications without hard copy submission will not be considered.

Category certificates, AIU equivalence (for foreign degrees), experience certificates and all supporting documents are required as per instructions.
