Islamic University of Science & Technology, Awantipora, has invited online applications from eligible candidates for the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science. The appointment will be on a contractual basis for the academic year ending on 31 December 2025 or until the post is filled on a substantive basis, whichever is earlier.
As per the notification, candidates must hold a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Applications from a recognised institution, along with NET/SET/SLET qualification or a Ph.D. in accordance with UGC regulations. Salary will range between Rs. 45,000 and Rs. 50,000 per month, depending on qualifications.
Interested candidates can apply online through the official university portal and submit the application fee of Rs. 300. The hard copy of the application, along with self-attested documents, must also be submitted to the Head of the Department before the specified deadline.

The registration process for the Assistant Professor (Computer Science) position will start on 14 August 2025 and will close on 18 August 2025 up to 4:30 pm. The last date for submitting the hard copy is 19 August 2025.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Computer Applications with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC non-creamy layer). They must also have cleared NET/SET/SLET or hold a Ph.D. in accordance with UGC norms. For disciplines where NET/SET/SLET is not conducted, these qualifications are not required.
