
Indian Space Research Organisation’s U R Rao Satellite Centre (URSC) has released the official notification for recruiting Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Research Associate-I (RA-I) positions. A total of 22 vacancies are open for eligible candidates under this recruitment drive.
As per the notification, the recruitment offers a fixed monthly fellowship for both JRF and RA-I posts. Interested candidates must meet the eligibility criteria and apply online through the official ISRO website before 20 April 2025.
Candidates selected for the Junior Research Fellow position will receive a fellowship of ₹37,000 per month which may increase to ₹42,000 after two years based on evaluation. For the Research Associate-I post, selected candidates will be offered ₹58,000 per month. The selection will be conducted through interview for shortlisted candidates.

Eligibility Criteria of JRF and RA-I:
Below, we have summarized the required eligibility criteria, such as qualification, age limit, and experience. Candidates are advised to review the eligibility criteria before applying for any post mentioned in the notification.
Educational Qualifications:
i) Junior Research Fellow: Candidates must have completed M.E., M.Tech, or M.Sc (Engineering) in the relevant field with at least 60% marks or CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale. Must have qualified GATE, CSIR-UGC-NET (including Lectureship), or a national-level exam conducted by central government agencies.
ii) Research Associate-I: Ph.D. in a relevant subject OR M.E./M.Tech with three years of research experience and at least one research paper in an SCI journal.
Age Limit:
Junior Research Fellow: Maximum 28 years as on 20 April 2025
Research Associate-I: Maximum 35 years as on 20 April 2025
Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST (5 years) and OBC (3 years) candidates as per rules.

Selection Process for ISRO URSC 2025:
The selection of candidates will be on the basis of the screening process and interview performance. Initially, applications will be screened for eligibility and shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview. The interview will be conducted at URSC, Bengaluru. Final selection will be based on interview performance and merit.
