Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has released a detailed notification for the recruitment of Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ posts in Civil, Electrical, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, and Architecture disciplines. The notification is published under Advertisement No. ISRO:ICRB:03(CEPO):2025 dated 24.06.2025.
As per the official notification, the upper age limit is 28 years as on 14.07.2025 (age relaxation applicable for reserved categories). Selected candidates will be placed at Level 10 of the Pay Matrix with a basic pay of ₹56,100 per month plus applicable allowances. The selection will be based on a written test and interview, with final merit decided through 50% weightage to each stage.
Eligible candidates can apply online through ISRO’s official website from 24.06.2025 to 14.07.2025. The application fee is ₹250, and a processing fee of ₹750 must be paid upfront (refundable for eligible candidates who appear for the written test). Educational Qualifications
For Civil, Electrical, and Refrigeration & AC posts: BE/B.Tech or equivalent in the respective discipline with minimum 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10.
For Architecture: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture with 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10 and valid registration with the Council of Architecture.
Age Limit
The maximum age is 28 years as on 14.07.2025. Age relaxations apply: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC. PwBD and ex-servicemen are eligible for further relaxation as per government rules.
Other Requirements
Candidates must have completed their degree within the stipulated duration. Final year students can also apply provided final results are available by 31.08.2025.
How to Apply:
Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply through the ISRO official portal at www.isro.gov.in between 24.06.2025 and 14.07.2025.
The application fee is ₹250. However, all candidates must initially pay ₹750 as processing fee. This fee is fully refundable for exempted categories and ₹500 refundable for others if they appear for the written test.
Selection Process:
The selection of candidates will be on the basis of a written test followed by an interview. The written test consists of two parts:
Part A – Discipline Specific (80 questions, 1 mark each, -1/3 negative marking)
Part B – Aptitude Test (15 questions, 20 marks, no negative marking)
Shortlisted candidates in the ratio of 1:5 will be called for an interview. Final merit will be prepared using a 50:50 weightage of written test and interview marks.
