Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST), Awantipora has invited applications from eligible candidates for the position of Research Assistant in the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering. The position is for a research project titled “Authenticating J & K Domicile Certification using Biometric based QR Codes” sanctioned by J&K Science Technology & Innovation Council, Department of Science and Technology, Government of Jammu and Kashmir.
As per the official notice, the post carries a consolidated monthly emolument of Rs. 20,000, subject to the release of funds by the funding agency. The project tenure is initially for six months, which may be extended depending on performance and fund availability. Preference will be given to candidates having specialization in web application development or database management.

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must have a B.Tech degree in ECE, CSE, or IT with at least 60% marks. Preference will be given to those with GATE or M.Tech qualifications in ECE, CSE, or IT. Specialization in web application development or database management will be considered desirable. The appointment is temporary and will be co-terminus with the project.
