Minimum qualification required is Graduation or Post Graduation from a recognised university with at least 50 percent marks in the relevant subject.
Only unmarried male Indian citizens are eligible to apply.

Selection Process
The recruitment process consists of multiple stages.
Stage 1: Online Common Entrance Examination (CEE)
Computer based test with objective type questions.
Paper I: General Knowledge, General English, Mathematics and Reasoning
Paper II: Trade specific subject
Candidates must secure at least 40 percent marks in both papers.
Stage 2: Recruitment Rally
Shortlisted candidates must qualify the Physical Fitness Test and Medical Examination.
Physical tests include:
1.6 km run within 6 minutes 20 seconds
Minimum 6 pull ups
Zig zag balance test
9 feet ditch test
Stage 3: Aptitude Skill Test and Personal Interview
This stage is conducted at AEC Training College and Centre, Pachmarhi. Candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks in the interview.
Stage 4: Final Merit and Training
Final merit is prepared based on marks obtained in the written exam and interview along with bonus marks for Priority I qualifications.
