Indian Institute of Technology Jammu has released an official notification inviting applications for the temporary positions of Research Scientist and Research Associate. The positions are part of a consultancy project funded under TTDF, titled “Identification of Vulnerabilities and Development of 6G Enabled Lightweight Mutual Authentication Protocol for UAVs using PUF and Blockchain”.
Both posts are for a duration of one year and may be extended based on performance. These roles are based in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Jammu. Eligible Indian nationals can apply online by 16th June 2025 through the official application portal.
Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their qualifications will be informed via email for an interview which may be conducted online or offline. Selected candidates will be expected to join at their own expense without any TA/DA.

Eligibility Criteria of Research Scientist and Associate Posts:
Educational Qualifications:
For Research Scientist: Ph.D. in CSE/IT/EE/EC disciplines. M.Tech or B.Tech in related fields with at least 60% marks.
For Research Associate: M.Tech or B.Tech in CSE/IT/EE/EC disciplines with at least 60% marks.
Age Limit:
The upper age limit is 35 years as on the date of application. Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/women/physically challenged candidates.
Other Requirements:
For Research Scientist: Strong foundation in Linux and C programming, expertise in cybersecurity domains like network, software, and hardware security. Preference given to candidates from NIRF Top 100 institutes and those with relevant publications or project experience.
For Research Associate: Experience in communication security or penetration testing is desirable.
