ICAR – National Research Centre for Banana has issued a notification on 8 September 2025 for apprenticeship training. The centre is inviting applications for Graduate and Technician Apprentices in multiple disciplines. There are 13 vacancies available and the application process is online through the NATS portal.
As per the notification, graduates and diploma holders who passed in the years 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025 are eligible. The stipend for selected candidates will range between Rs 8,000 and Rs 9,000 depending on the post. The selection process will be on a merit basis and no written test will be conducted. Candidates must apply before the closing date of 24 September 2025.

ICAR – National Research Centre for Banana has announced 13 Apprentice vacancies. The details of the posts are as follows. B.Sc. (Biotechnology) 5 posts, B.Sc. (Biochemistry) 2 posts, B.Sc. (Physics) 1 post, B.A. (Tamil) 1 post, Diploma (Engineering) 3 posts, and Diploma (Agriculture/Horticulture) 2 posts.
Candidates applying for Graduate Apprentice posts must hold a degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Physics, or Tamil from a recognized university. For Technician Apprentice posts, a full-time Diploma in Engineering, Agriculture, or Horticulture is required. Only those who passed in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025 can apply. The minimum age is 18 years and the upper limit is as per Apprenticeship Rules.
The monthly stipend for Graduate Apprentices is Rs 9,000 and for Technician Apprentices is Rs 8,000.

Applications are to be submitted online only through the NATS portal at nats.education.gov.in. Candidates must register, complete their profiles, and apply under ICAR – National Research Centre for Banana vacancies. They must also upload certificates and mark sheets as required.
Selection Process:
The selection will be made purely on merit based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination. A final merit list will be prepared after verification of documents.
