ICAR-Central Institute of Temperate Horticulture (CITH), Srinagar has officially announced a walk-in interview for the recruitment of a Project Assistant on a contractual basis. The post is available under the JKST&IC, Government of J&K funded research project titled “Development and Evaluation of Integrated Nutrient Management Module for Producing High Quality Long Day Onions and Its Impact on Soil Quality.”
The appointment is purely temporary, initially up to 31 December 2025, and may be extended based on satisfactory performance and fund availability. The interview will be held on 28 May 2025 at the ICAR-CITH campus, Rangreth, Srinagar.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Science (Life Sciences, Agriculture, or Horticulture)
Desirable Qualifications:
– Experience in soil nutrient analysis
– Proficiency in handling laboratory equipment, glassware, and computer applications
Age Limit:
– Maximum 35 years as on the date of interview
– Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST and Female candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates
Other Conditions:
– Engagement is on full-time, contractual basis and can be discontinued at any time
– No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview
– Casual Leave and Restricted Holidays allowed as per GoI/ICAR rules
– Selected candidates will not have any claim for regular appointment
