Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), a Miniratna Category I CPSU under the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, has released Advertisement No. Estt./1/2024/2025-26 dated 21 May 2025 for filling the post of Assistant General Manager (Law) in Grade E6. Eligibility Criteria of AGM (Law) Post:
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Arts/Commerce/Science/Engineering/Professional Studies (like BBA/BCA) along with a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or Integrated Law degree (5 years).
Preferred Qualification: LLM
Post Qualification Experience:
Minimum 14 years in relevant legal field. Experience considered only from the date of obtaining the basic qualification.
Relevant Experience Areas:
- Handling and attending cases in courts, tribunals, quasi-judicial bodies
- Arbitration proceedings under relevant acts
- Drafting and interpreting contracts, pleadings, and legal documents
- Providing legal opinions, vetting company documents
- Understanding of laws applicable to corporate governance
Age Limit:
Maximum 52 years as on 01 May 2025.
Applicants from Government/PSUs must have served 2 years in the next below grade (E5) or in Level-11 (CDA scale ₹67,700–2,08,700). For private sector applicants, a monthly gross salary of ₹1,47,600 or above is required (with supporting documents).

Selection Process:
The selection will be based on a Personal Interview only. Shortlisting for interview will follow a 1:5 ratio (5 candidates for each post). Marks may be allotted for additional qualifications and extra experience beyond the minimum.
Minimum qualifying marks in interview: 50%
Service Agreement Bond: Selected candidates must serve for 3 years and sign a ₹3 Lakh bond.
