GMC Jammu Hiring Lab Technician for AMR Project 2025 – Apply by 8th May

Government Medical College, Jammu has officially released a notification for the recruitment of a Lab Technician under the Anti-Microbial Resistance (AMR) Programme. This recruitment will be done on a contractual basis for an initial period of one year, with possible yearly extensions based on performance and conduct.

As per the official advertisement issued by GMC Jammu, the selected candidate will receive a monthly consolidated remuneration of ₹25,000. The maximum age limit for fresh recruits is 40 years. The selection will be made through an objective written test, and preference will be given to candidates with experience in Microbiology Labs and knowledge of computer applications.

Interested and eligible applicants must submit their filled application form by hand at the Office of the Head, Department of Microbiology, GMC Jammu, on or before 08 May 2025. The application must be submitted along with all necessary supporting documents.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:
Candidates must possess either B.Sc. in Medical Lab Technology (MLT) from a recognized university with 1 year of experience in a clinical lab, preferably Bacteriology Lab OR 10+2 in Science subjects with Diploma in MLT (2 years) from a recognized university/institute with 3 years of experience in clinical lab work.

Desirable Qualification:
M.Sc. in Microbiology/Life Sciences/Biotechnology, work experience in Microbiology Laboratory, and knowledge of computer applications are desirable.

Age Limit:
The upper age limit for fresh recruits is 40 years.

Selection Process:
The selection of candidates will be on the basis of an objective written test of 50 marks. There will be no negative marking. In the case of a tie, the candidate with higher age will be considered for selection.
