Government Medical College Jammu has released an official advertisement inviting applications for the post of Senior Resident in the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology. The notification is issued as per Government Order No. 383-JK(HME) of 2024, dated 20 June 2024. The posts are tenured and applicants must meet the latest eligibility qualifications as prescribed by the National Medical Commission.
As stated in the official notice, candidates applying for the post must possess a postgraduate degree in the relevant medical specialty such as M.Ch. or DNB. The maximum age limit is set at below 45 years as on 1 January 2025. Selection will be based on a written examination in MCQ format consisting of 50 questions totaling 100 marks, with a penalty of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
Application forms will be available on the official website of GMC Jammu from 1 May 2025. Applicants must submit a complete PDF of the filled form along with supporting documents and proof of fee payment to the official email by 21 May 2025. Hard copies must also be submitted to the office of the Principal, GMC Jammu within the same deadline.
