Footwear Design & Development Institute has invited applications for non-academic posts of Jr. Technologist and Technologist in Chemical and Physical Testing Laboratories. A total of 7 vacancies have been announced under this notification. The posts are offered on long-term contract basis of 3 to 5 years, extendable depending on requirements.
As mentioned in the notification, selected candidates will be placed in salary ranges of ₹37,000 to ₹93,000 per month depending on the post. The maximum age limit for these positions is between 30 to 35 years with relaxations as per rules. Work experience conditions vary from one to seven years, depending on qualification and post applied for.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must meet the educational qualification and experience conditions.
For Chemical Lab, Jr. Technologist requires BE or BTech in any field, or a postgraduate in Chemistry or Polymer Science, or a graduate degree with Chemistry or Polymer Science as main subject with at least 55 percent marks. Technologist has the same qualifications.
For Physical Lab, Jr. Technologist requires BE or BTech in any engineering discipline, or a 3-year diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics, or a graduate degree in Science with Physics or Mathematics as main subject with minimum 55 percent marks. Technologist has the same requirement.
For experience, Jr. Technologist requires one year relevant experience for graduates or diploma holders, while BE, BTech and postgraduates do not need experience. Technologist requires a minimum of 7 years for graduates and 5 years for BE, BTech or postgraduates. Out of this, at least 3 years must be in an ISO 17025 accredited lab. The minimum age is 18 years and maximum is between 30 and 35 years depending on post, with relaxation as per Government of India rules.

Selection Process:
