ECIL Opens 80 Graduate Engineer Trainee Vacancies – Apply Online by 5 June

Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), a Government of India enterprise under the Department of Atomic Energy, has released Advertisement No. 06/2025 inviting online applications for Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) posts. A total of 80 vacancies are available across various engineering disciplines including Electronics, Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, and Instrumentation.

The application process is fully online and began on 16 May 2025. Selected candidates will be engaged in key areas such as Design, Manufacturing, Projects, and R&D across ECIL offices located in Hyderabad and other locations in India. The selection process consists of a Computer-Based Test followed by a Personal Interview.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications:
– First-class BE/B.Tech degree in relevant engineering discipline with at least 60% aggregate marks from a recognized institution.
– For SC/ST candidates, 50% aggregate marks is sufficient.
– Final-year students can also apply but must present proof of qualification during document verification.

Age Limit (as on 30 April 2025):
– UR: 27 years
– SC/ST: Relaxation by 5 years
– OBC (NCL): Relaxation by 3 years
– PwBD: Relaxation by 10 years
– J&K Domicile (1980–89): Relaxation by 5 years
– Ex-Servicemen: Service period + 3 years

Other Requirements:
Candidates must present a valid proof of conversion from CGPA to percentage where applicable. Those employed in government or PSU must submit a No Objection Certificate at the time of interview.


How to Apply:
Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria must apply online at www.ecil.co.in through the “Careers” section. The online registration will remain open until 2:00 PM on 5 June 2025.

Application Fee:
The application fee is ₹1,000 for UR, EWS, and OBC candidates. SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and ECIL employees are exempt. The fee must be paid via SBI Collect (online or offline mode).


Selection Process:
The selection will be based on a two-stage process:
– Computer-Based Test (CBT): 85% weightage
– Personal Interview: 15% weightage
CBT will consist of 100 objective-type questions in English and Hindi. Negative marking of 0.25 per wrong answer will apply. Candidates scoring 50% or more in each stage and 60% overall will qualify. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview at Hyderabad in a 1:4 ratio.
