Directorate of Forensic Science Services (DFSS) has officially released a notification inviting applications for 48 vacancies of Digital Forensic Experts in its six National Cyber Forensic Laboratories (NCFLs) located in Delhi, Assam, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Pune, and Bhopal. The recruitment is purely on a contractual basis for one year, extendable up to three years.
As per the notification, the posts include both Senior and Junior Digital Forensic Experts. Candidates will be selected based on a walk-in interview and a qualifying test (FACT/FACT Plus). Applicants should meet the specific qualification and experience criteria detailed in the notification.

Eligibility criteria:

Educational Qualifications:
Senior Digital Forensic Expert requires M.Sc in Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Forensic Science with specific subjects and marks criteria, OR B.E./B.Tech in relevant disciplines OR MCA.
Junior Digital Forensic Expert requires Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Master’s Degree in relevant disciplines with 55% marks.
Experience:
One year of experience in analytical methods and handling digital forensic evidence is essential. Experience in government or PSU labs will be preferred.
Desirable skills include expertise in digital signal processing, networking, database systems, cyber security, etc.
Age Limit:
Maximum 35 years for both posts. Age relaxation applicable as per rules.
