The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (CSIR-IITR), Lucknow has officially released the notification for the recruitment of 18 vacancies under Advertisement No. IITR/3/2025. The posts include Scientist, Senior Scientist, and Principal Scientist.
The online application process started on 1st August 2025 at 10:00 AM. Interested candidates can register online until 31st August 2025 (11:59 PM). The final submission of the application form must be completed by 5th September 2025 (11:59 PM) via the official website www.iitr.res.in.
Vacancy Details:
This recruitment aims to fill 16 posts of Scientist, 1 Senior Scientist, and 1 Principal Scientist across various scientific disciplines. The selection will be through shortlisting and interviews.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must hold relevant qualifications such as M.E./M.Tech. or Ph.D. (submitted/awarded) in subjects like Chemistry, Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Epidemiology, Neurosciences, Instrumentation, etc., based on the post applied for.
The age limit as on 31st August 2025 is 32 years for Scientist, 37 years for Senior Scientist, and 45 years for Principal Scientist, with relaxations as per Government of India norms. Application fees are ₹500 for general category candidates, while SC/ST/PwBD/Women/Ex-Servicemen are exempted.

Candidates applying online must upload their educational qualifications, caste certificate (if applicable), photo, signature, and other necessary documents such as a one-page Ph.D. abstract (if applicable). All communication regarding shortlisting and interview will be made through the official CSIR-IITR website.
CSIR IITR offers attractive monthly emoluments: Scientists at Level-11 will draw approximately ₹1,15,548 per month, Senior Scientists at Level-12 will receive around ₹1,32,864, and Principal Scientists at Level-13 will earn about ₹2,01,972, inclusive of DA, HRA, and TA applicable for Class ‘X’ cities.
Selection Process:
The selection process will include shortlisting of candidates based on qualifications, experience, and publications, followed by a personal interview. The final merit list will be prepared based on interview performance and document verification.
