Eligibility Criteria of CSIR CMERI Technician I Vacancies
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed SSC or 10th standard with science subjects and at least 55 percent marks.
In addition, candidates must have one of the following:
- ITI or National or State Trade Certificate in the relevant trade
- Two years full-time apprentice training in the relevant trade
- Three years work experience in the relevant trade in Government, PSU or Autonomous Body
Age Limit
Minimum age is 18 years and maximum age is 28 years as on 21 January 2026. Age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and other categories as per rules.

Salary Details
The post carries Pay Level 2 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix with pay scale of Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200. Total monthly emoluments are approximately Rs. 37,000 including allowances at the minimum level.
Selection Process
The selection process consists of the following stages.
- Trade Test which is qualifying in nature
- Competitive Written Examination (Objective Type)
The final merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the written examination only.
