CSIR–Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysuru, under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), has invited online applications from Indian citizens for the post of Technical Assistant. This recruitment drive aims to fill 18 posts of Technical Assistant in various disciplines.

Educational Qualifications:
Diploma or B.Sc in relevant disciplines with required percentage and post-qualification experience:
- TA01: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years’ experience
- TA02: Diploma/B.Sc. in Computer Science or IT with relevant experience
- TA03: Diploma in Electronics/ECE with 2 years’ experience
- TA04: B.Sc. in Food Science/Food Technology/Nutrition with 1 year experience or full-time professional qualification
- TA05: B.Sc. in Microbiology with 1 year experience or full-time professional qualification
- TA06: B.Sc. in Chemistry with 1 year experience or full-time professional qualification
Age Limit (as on 10 May 2025):
Maximum 28 years (Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC – 3 years, PwBD – up to 15 years, Govt. employees – as per rules)
How to Apply:
Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply through the CSIR-CFTRI official portal.
Application Fee: The application fee for the recruitment process is ₹500 for UR/OBC/EWS candidates. SC/ST/PwBD/ExSM/Women candidates are exempted from fee.

Selection Process:
The selection of candidates will be based on a two-stage process:
1. Trade Test (Qualifying Nature): Relevant to the post/trade
2. Written Examination (OMR Based):
- Paper I: Mental Ability – 50 questions (100 marks)
- Paper II: General Awareness, English – 50 questions (150 marks)
- Paper III: Concerned Subject – 100 questions (300 marks)
Final merit list will be based on Paper II and III scores only. Paper I is qualifying in nature.
