Central Silk Board has released Advertisement No. CSB/01/2025 inviting online applications for the post of Scientist-B in the Pre-Cocoon Sector. A total of 36 vacancies are projected across different specializations in agricultural and allied sciences.
The recruitment will be done through Direct Recruitment based on ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph.D.) – 2025 examination scores. No separate written test will be conducted by CSB. Eligible candidates can apply online from 02 March 2026 to 31 March 2026.

Essential Requirement: Candidates must have appeared in ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph.D.) – 2025 examination in the relevant subject specialization.
Age Relaxation:
SC/ST: 5 years
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
PwBD: 10 years (UR), 13 years (OBC), 15 years (SC/ST)
Government Servants: Up to 5 years as per rules
Selection Process
Selection will be based on ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph.D.) – 2025 scores in the relevant subject.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification and interview. Final merit will be prepared based on ICAR score and interview performance. In case of tie, older candidate will be given preference.
